I had a great time welcoming the group into my shop. It was a very relaxed, fun evening of flower arranging and Jodi was such an excellent host – she is so good at conversation starters and came equipped with questions that helped feed more knowledge from me to the group as they put together their bouquets. I absolutely loved having them!

Attended at the most recent pop-up tour in March. It was really interesting meeting personally with the owners of the businesses and they each provided us with a sample of their products and services. At Centuari Arts, the owner ran a creative writing workshop for us that was fun as we analysed a “crime scene” and group-wrote poems together. At Archtop Cafe, we were given a lesson on the different teas they had there, and each tea was paired with samples of delicious dessert. At Bloom Restaurant, we were shown how to prepare yummy traditional Peruvian pisco sour drink and had a taste of the restaurant’s appetizers. Value-laden tour and great way to spend 3 hours in the neighbourhood

It was a very enjoyable evening. We got to be creative then enjoy good food and drinks. I already revisited Bloom for another Pisco Sour.

It was a pleasure having The Westside’s Story Pop-Up Tour come through our cafe. We had a fun local beer and canape tasting event. The group that came through was having a great time and a lot of attention was given to local food and drink. We would absolutely love to be another stop on a tour. Definitely recommend attending a pop-up tour whenever you can!

Addition to what I just wrote…
We were met by the owners of each of the small businesses we visited. They were passionate about what they do and extremely generous with their knowledge. Now that I know them, I’m looking forward to supporting them by shopping locally.

The description of the tour didn’t do justice to the amount I learned on the Health & Wellness tour. There are so many amazing products and services available so close to home and I never would have made the time to get to know it by myself if I hadn’t participated in the tour. The experience was well worth the time and money… and the samples and gift certificates from the local shops are great too!
